front mount intercooler system (FMIC). This system was designed from the ground up to be a bolt on
upgrade for the MK6 2.0T. No longer are you stuck with an intercooler that is sandwiched between the
condenser and radiator. Our FMIC is designed to effectively cool your charged air while maintaining a
minimal pressure drop. From the stock turbo to the K04 and all the way up to the big turbo, this is the
best intercooler on the market.

Our intercooler system is designed around two principles:
  • The intercooler should use a high density bar and plate core
  • The face of the intercooler should be cooled by unrestricted ambient air.
Extensive testing led us to use a high density core from Garrett Turbochargers. The Garrett core
features the most dense arrangement of internal cooling fins available today. With this high density
core we set out to design an end tank that properly channeled airflow to all rows of the intercooler. Our
end tank design features gradual slopes with mandrel bent inlets. This superior design has no internal
disruptions that harm spool and increase internal pressure loss.

Our piping kit features 4-ply re-enforced silicone that has been tested under extreme temperatures
and pressures. It is designed to bolt directly to the factory hotside pipe with a CNC machined bayonet
fitting. The 2.5 inch diameter pipe has been proven to over 600 horsepower. All piping is bead rolled
and secured with stainless steel constant tension T-bolt clamps.

Last but not least, our intercooler sits directly behind the bumper. Over 90% of the core is exposed to
the open air grill. This is simply the most efficient way to remove heat from an intercooler. Whether
you're in stop and go traffic or making pass after pass at the track, heat soak is no longer a concern.
